When I make reference to “my drummer” everyone knows that I am talking about Steven Fruitticher.  I have seen Steven hone his craft from a young drummer who just played songs to a Worship Leader from behind the kit.  He is fully immersed in all the songs that he is playing and is keenly aware of the of the audience that he is leading in worship.  When we play together, Steven knows that he is able to pull out of a song or ramp up a song based on how the Holy Spirit is leading.  I have full trust in his decisions while we are playing together.  Steven has taken the time to grow as an artist so he is proficient in playing in all environments. Whether there are Click Tracks, Loops, Cues, etc., Steven has grown into the drummer that can handle every situation.
As a bandleader, I often ask Steven to stray a bit from the original song so that we can make it a bit unique, and he is always willing to do so and comes up with great, creative ways to make the song unique.  He is rock solid in his performance and is the last thing you have to worry about when playing.  Steven is always prepared and willing to go the extra mile to make any event a success.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Fruit in several different contexts- from music to coaching to teaching to normal, everyday fellowship, and I can tell you the word that best describes him is ‘authentic.’ He really embraces and celebrates who God has made him to be, and Steven has a really unique ability to embrace and celebrate others because of it. He’s a great drummer, but more than that, he’s a worshiper of Christ and that is evident when he plays. As a worship leader, it’s calming to know that when you arrive to rehearsal your drummer has already been up early practicing- he knows his parts- it’s time to worship. I’ve had the opportunity to play on the team with Steven at a few summer student camps and also on Sunday mornings at a local church. I love his heart for the Lord and I love his passion for the music. He is an extremely talented drummer and makes every worship set a stronger set by his presence and the details that he adds.

One of the blessings in my life was being able to play music with Steven. His is a man on mission for using his God-given talents and abilities to further the kingdom of his King to all who will listen. We have played in churches, coffee houses and outdoor shows for different events. For the time I have spent around him playing worship music I have experienced true love for God through his desire to play every note as if there might be someone out there singing or listening that this might be their only time they hear from God. Steven Fruitticher has been faithfully serving at Bethlehem Church since I started serving here more than two years ago. I have gotten the opportunity to worship with him on Sunday mornings, in the High School Ministry, as well as various events that happen throughout the year! He is always punctual and prepared!
